SCIENCE


Professor Mats Stading performs his research at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden and is also professor at the Department for Industrial and Materials Science at Chalmers University of Technology, both located in Gothenburg, Sweden.


His research projects apply Materials Science on biological materials. This basic science is the same irrespective if it is applied to food, bioplastics or human tissue. A recurring theme is rheology, which is the science of flow and deformation of mater.


Mats is the international representative for the Nordic Rheology Society and Past President of the European Society of Rheology. He has arranged many international conferences and is currently involved in the planning for the Annual European Rheology Conference 2021.
